Flat Roof Repair Drip Edge Installation

Mr Roof Repair installed a drip edge around entire flat roof perimeter. This was covered with a layer of roof cement, followed by a layer of membrane and an additional layer of roof cement and then granules.

Chimney Leak Repair

The home has a chimney leak. The flashing is the original flashing and was never sealed. Flashing is peeling off and has original caulking. Water was coming in around entire flashing. There was ice and water shield (water proof membrane) installed under the laminate shingles, however instead of going under flashing and nailing flashing down and sealing flashing to the shingles it was installed on top of the flashing. Roof Tune Up on Toronto Home

There was a ripped corner cause by animal damage found at the corner of the roof.  The hole was covered by metal that extended out to the fascia board. We placed a protective shield over the area and reapplied the shingle.  We then preformed a Roof Tune up and finished up by sealing rusted nail holes near the vent and at the peak of roof.

There was animal damage found on roof near chimney and gutters. We fixed the roof damage by placing a piece of metal on hole near gutter to close it and sealed gap near back pan on chimney. Also replaced damaged shingles and sealed well them well. The roof will need replacing soon, homeowner was advised.

The homeowner has an ice dam at front and back of house. Ice damming caused from 1) no drip edge on house causing heat to escape along the edge line of the roof where it meets eaves trough 2) the gutter filter is not installed – has a metal guard and 3) attic ventilation is not sufficient – ideally needs a ridge vent which is made for the is type of roof.
