Bathroom Leak and Plumbing Stack Repair

There were signs of a leak in the bathroom at the front of the home.
The Problems We Found:
We took a look at the damage and felt that the ceiling was wet.   We went up to have a look in the attic and found two insulated hoses from fans of two bathrooms that were exhausting into attic and not correctly through exhaust vents.

Plumbing Stack Leak Repair

Why The Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
A leak coming in to the bathroom prompted the homeowner to call us.
The Problems We Found:
We inspected inside the bathroom.  There was visible evidence (markings) where there had been a heat lamp that had since been removed.

Temporary Leak Solution

Why The Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
There was cracking in the ceiling of the homeowner’s bedroom.  They had lived in the home for 5 years, and though there had been a previous repair this is the first time the new homeowners had noticed any issue.

Temporary Chimney Leak Repair

Water stains and cracks in the ceiling inside the home were the cause for the call.
The Problems We Found:
We inspected the damage inside the home and then went up to the roof to investigate.

Why the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
There was a leak in the home
The Problems We Found:
This was the 2nd time this leak had occurred.  We inspected the flat roof and found that the seal where the torch down membranes meet and overlap had an open gap. The sloped roof however, is the main cause of this leakage problem.  Under the caps on the roof, we discovered that there are 2 layers of shingles and that they are just overlapped.  Upon inspection of the skylight, we found that it was installed …

Attic Vent Replacement

Why the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
Exhaust vents needed to be replaced.
The Problems we Found:
Two Attic Vents needed replacing and flapper vent was actually a hidden plumbing stack.
Solution for the Roof:
We replaced 2 attic vents with 2 proper exhaust vents.  We installed insulated hoses and connected them in the attic.
Hidden 3.5” plumbing stack had been converted to  1.5” stack – we installed extension and installed 3” flange.  We then sealed the surrounding shingles with roof cement as well as sealed 2 additional attic vents.

Homeowner wanted to replace 2 bathroom exhaust vents one of which was exhausting through the attic vent and the other through the chimney.
The Problems We Found:
This particular home is in need of a roof replacement, as the original roof has boards and the new addition has plywood.  The attic, which is part of the old roof, is in need of ridge venting for proper ventilation.

Furnace Stack and Pipe Flashing Repair

The Reason the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair
Bubbling on the kitchen ceiling and damage on the bedroom wall had homeowner suspecting water leakage.
Problems We Found:
During inspection on the inside of the home, we determined the bubbling was indeed a leak in the kitchen and that the wood above the area was rotten and leaking through.  The damage in the bedroom was determined water damage and therefore a roof inspection was needed.

A leak inside the bathroom of the home was cause for the homeowner to call us.

We investigated the leak inside the home’s bathroom and found traces of water around the exhaust vent.
