Why the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair
The shingles around the windows were worn down and there was leaking.
The Problems We Found:
Upon inspection we found the issue with the roof was a result of improper installation. The top row of the shingles were not tucked up high enough under the flashing. The issue around the windows was also due to improper installation. The caulking, used to seal the flashing was worn out and because it was not assembled correctly this area was allowing leakage.

The homeowner had discovered a small hole on his roof.
The Problems We Found:
We inspected the roof and discovered that the plumbing stack had been ripped open and appeared to have been chewed by an animal.
Solution for the Roof:
We removed 4 shingles and applied roof cement to each layer of shingles. We then installed a new 3 inch plumbing flange an finished off with new shingle installation.

The Reason Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
Missing and damaged shingles were noticed.
The Problems We Found:
We inspected the roof surface and discovered there were shingles ripped apart in a large section on the back left side of the home.
The Solutions for the Roof:
We replaced 16 shingles in the large damaged section. We inspected the rest of the roof and found no further damage from either wind or animals.

Homeowner called in due to a leak in their tenant’s bedroom, which is evident from the cracking around the ceiling lamp and where separates the adjacent bedroom. There are three holes due to animal damge. Squirrels are getting in on 3 corners of home. They were getting in on the 4th but homeowner had a previous repair last year.
They are getting in where there should be drip edge on the home and there is none installed. They are getting in right at the end of each hip.
Covered each holes with metal. Installed new shingles that were torn and double nailed them so they will have a hard time lifting shingles. Sealed the nail holes with chem caulking.

Mr Roof Repair found the home does have gutter filter installed in eaves, however there are alot of trees around home and alot of debris is going on top of gutter filter and staying there. Little plants are forming on top of filter and not blowing off.

Repair Summary:
Problem: Homeowner has a furnace stack leaking on his flat roof. The seams that attaches to the furnace flashing were not bonded properly to the metal.
Solution: Today we used roof cement and membrane to seal the seams on the pipe flashing and also sealed the actual pipe on the seams with chem caulking.
There is also a second furnace pipe on other side of home that had the same problem and was leaking as well so the same process was done on this area as well.

The homeowner has shingles with wind damage close to the top of the roof. Some of shingles were put in with coil nails and some were only installed using small nails which only go into the decking so far and easily be blown away.
We replaced with them new shingles – first, we put roof cement underneath the decking and also where the new shingles meet the existing shingles. We checked the roof surface and found no other missing shingles at this time.

We had to replaced two vents, and make sure they were vented and sealed properly
There was water coming in from the skylight, we sealed around the skylights, we also sealed some nails exposed at the bottom of the valley on the right hand side of skylight, we had to seal them.
Looking to replace the roof next year.
