The Reason the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair
The homeowner called because the valley needed repair.
The Work We Performed on the Roof:
We removed 1 single on either side of the 12 foot valley on the roof over the porch. We exposed and cleaned off the wood but left valley metal and used it as an added layer of protection on the valley. We installed an ice and water shield (water proof membrane) on each side of valley – 24” out and 12‘ up the valley . We applied roof cement to both sides of the water proof membrane along the valley.
We then re-installed new shingles using roof cement and nails; a closed valley method. We fastened down the top wall and sealed along the side – 2 feet of side flashing and we sealed ridge caps.
