Popped Nails Prove To Be Roof Leaks

Problem: There is a roof leak on second story above the bedroom coming through the vent. It is leaking because there is no underlayment , snow and ice is building up, there are exposed nails around the vent causing the leak, there are also some missing shingles in front of home, and there are several leak sources from popped up nails
Solution: We were able to seal around the roof vent using roof cement, to make the area is water tight.

We cleared all snow from upper and lower roof of main house. W applied a special melting product around entire perimeter to help remove ice from ice damming.
We then applied a melting product on the valleys and around chimneys. We removed all the ice from eaves troughs.
