New Roof Installation

Repair Summary:
Mr Roof Repair re-roofed the area where the flat roof meets the shingled roof and installed a ridge vent.
We removed the shingles from the sloped area of roof and installed underlayment (water proof membrane). We then installed new shingles using roof cement and nails.

After installing the new shingles, we installed a 15 ft ridge vent. We removed the cap shingles and installed the ridge vent. Installed hip and ridge and cap shingles to complete repair.

Roof Tune up with Minor Roof Repairs

Repair Summary:
There was a hole in a shingle due to animal damage from a raccoon or squirrel.
We removed the damaged shingle and sealed the area with chem caulking and replaced the shingle.
The damaged shingle was in a tie in area of the roof so to ensure extra protection in this area, we sealed the left and right of each shingle hip and ridge tab where the hole was under. There was no underlayment underneath so this additional sealing allows additional protection.
Did an overall roof tune up and in general roof is in good condition.
There was a hip and ridge shingle toward end at front that was loose and lifted up. Re attached that shingle so it was flush with roof and sealed exposed nails.
We sealed the area to the left and right of two attic vents towards bottom where water could seep in between shingle tabs that sit on top of the vent flashing.
Sealed around 3” pipe stack vent.

Roof Vent Replacement

There are damaged vents 1 bathroom vent and 1 roof vent on north side of roof. We had to remove shingles , cut holes, add the ice and water shield, add the vents then reinstalled shingles. We sealed around the vents. Then we sealed a couple of roof leaks during the roof tune up.

Attic Frost Will Lead to Roof Mould

We replaced the metal vent with a different vent as it was improperly installed.

We sealed around the chimney flashing and shingles that were loose.

We did go into the attic and the entire inside of the roof decking is covered in frost. This will lead to the cycle of defrosting on sunny days and refrosting on cold days with will create black mould and wood rot.

To stop this the homeowner needs a whole new roof with properly installed decking, underlayment and proper roofventilation.

Soffit Repair Noticed Brittle Shingles

We had to remove a bent soffit vent to match up at the store and replace with a matching soffit.

Cut back all 3 valleys at bottom and nailed down and sealed them correctly. We also sealed up 2-3 vents with exposed nails on the hip and ridge capping. Future work will be required.

A picture was taken of the shingles on the roof and the customer should replace roof within the year. The shingles are extra brittle and cracked on entire roof and problems will occur in the future. Within the 6-12 months they will start breaking all the way through.

Roof Tune Up and Vent Repairs

Both vent pipe stacks were lifted in the front and water is running into the nail holes. We had to remove all fasteners and reseal. We nailed the vents back in place properly. We preformed a roof tune up and assessed there is a good 3 years left on the roof. But, the top of the chimney is crumbling and needs to be dealt with soon.

Roof Vent Repair – Remove and Replace

We removed a bathroom vent and a roof vent on the North side of the roof. We started by removing the shingles, cut new holes and added an ice and water shield. We then reinstalled new vents and reinstalled roofing shingles. We sealed around the vent and sealed a couple of spots that were leaking and did a roof tune up.

Pipe Vent Repair and Needs Shingle Repairs

We had to removed one attic vent and seal the wood under and over the vent area, and reinstall the existing vent.

We also replaced the vent on back of house, with new one because it was cracked

We added Pipe flashing to the 3 inch pipe where it was cracked.

Old repair done shingles over shingles, took off old shingles as there had framing nails sticking out roof—and replaced that section with shingles (back of house above chimney area).

Sealed every seam in 12×12 foot span with roof cement

Roof needs replacing, there is no underlayment.

Recommended to seal other area where shingles are buckling if not going to replace roof right away.
