Animal Shingle Damage

Our services were requested after homeowners noticed the shingles on their roof had lifted due to what they initially thought was wind damage. One area of damage had exposed a hole from an old pipe or vent that had been covered with a sheet of metal.  Upon further inspection, it was determined that the shingles were actually damaged by animals and not wind.  To begin repairs, the impaired shingles were removed, exposing the wood and hole with metal covering.  Roof Cement was then used to seal the entire area including …

Permanent Vent Install

Through our assessment, we discovered that our customer was experiencing excessive moisture build up inside their ill conditioned attic space.  This was due to the lack of bathroom exhaust vents and the need for additional attic ventilation.  In order to further increase energy savings we opted for a solar power attic vent installation which does not require an electrical hook up.  A vent with a flapper was installed for the bathroom exhaust, which prevents back drafting (external air coming back through the bathroom fan).   The vent and hose hook up …

Roof Leak Repair

Upon arrival we found there was no underlayment on roof surface – only on bottom row (first 3 to 4 feet). With a wave in the roof deck, water was getting in under shingle tabs and going through keys of shingles and getting in where shingles meet shingle causing major roof leaks. In one particular area this is happening and water was reaching the plywood – right at a seam between two pieces of plywood. This was allowing water in the house.
We removed the shingles in this area, cemented the …
