Fascia Board Replacement and Trim Install

Why the Homeowner Called Mr Repair:
We were called in to replace fascia board and install aluminum siding fascia covering.
The Work that we Completed:
We replaced 6 ft of fascia board and installed aluminum siding fascia covering to protect wood from weathering in the future and sealed with caulking.
On the other side, the wood was in good condition and we just installed the aluminum fascia covering and properly sealed it.

Leaky Vent Removal

A leak was noticed in the kitchen from an area where an old light used to be.  They had cut open the ceiling and noticed water dripping, which was coming from the trusses from the roof in the attic.

Roof Tune Up and Shingle Repair

The Reason the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
The homeowner noticed missing shingles on the roof.
The Problems We Found:
We inspected the entire roof surface. There were no missing shingles and the shingles were in good condition; there was no shifting or lifting.
There was one detailed shingle on the laminate that was glued on the second level that had come off. The Shingle was intact – no holes or damage and was still in perfect condition. The shingle was a 30 yr laminate and the colour was Weatherwood.

Bathroom Leak and Plumbing Stack Repair

Why the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
There were signs of a leak in the bathroom at the front of the home.
The Problems We Found:
We took a look at the damage and felt that the ceiling was wet.   We went up to have a look in the attic and found two insulated hoses from fans of two bathrooms that were exhausting into attic and not correctly through exhaust vents.

Plumbing Stack Leak Repair

Why The Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
A leak coming in to the bathroom prompted the homeowner to call us.
The Problems We Found:
We inspected inside the bathroom.  There was visible evidence (markings) where there had been a heat lamp that had since been removed.

Temporary Chimney Leak Repair

Why the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
Water stains and cracks in the ceiling inside the home were the cause for the call.
The Problems We Found:
We inspected the damage inside the home and then went up to the roof to investigate.
We found that there is a space between the flashing and the brick around the chimney which is no longer in use.  As well, the mortar is deteriorating in some areas and there are holes present in the flashing.  There is an ice and water shield in this area, along with …

Attic Vent Replacement

Why the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
Exhaust vents needed to be replaced.
The Problems we Found:
Two Attic Vents needed replacing and flapper vent was actually a hidden plumbing stack.
Solution for the Roof:
We replaced 2 attic vents with 2 proper exhaust vents.  We installed insulated hoses and connected them in the attic.
Hidden 3.5” plumbing stack had been converted to  1.5” stack – we installed extension and installed 3” flange.  We then sealed the surrounding shingles with roof cement as well as sealed 2 additional attic vents.

Exhaust Vent Installation

The Reason Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
Homeowner wanted to replace 2 bathroom exhaust vents one of which was exhausting through the attic vent and the other through the chimney.
The Problems We Found:
This particular home is in need of a roof replacement, as the original roof has boards and the new addition has plywood.  The attic, which is part of the old roof, is in need of ridge venting for proper ventilation.

Leaking Vent Repair

The Reason the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
A small bathroom vent in one of the bathrooms was leaking.
The Problems We Found:
While inspecting the vents on the roof we discovered that they were not the correct kind.  There was flashing behind it which had not been sealed and therefore water was getting in under the shingle tabs.  There was no underlayment fixed underneath the shingles and consequently the water getting underneath the shingles was getting inside the home.

Porch Roof Shingle Replacement

The Reason the Homeowner Called Mr. Roof Repair:
Curled shingles on the home’s shingles prompted the homeowner to call in.
The Problems We Found:
Upon inspection we discovered that there was an additional area with damaged shingles than what the homeowner first thought.  The hip section; the external angle formed by the intersection of the two sloping roof planes meet, one of which attaches to the house, will also need replacement.
